Our Precious Mom, Grandma, Great and Great- Great Grandma, Sister, and Aunt was taken into her HeaVenly Father's loving arms on Oct. 20, 2018. Helen was'born to Ray L. Mulrony and Helen D. Chase on August 13, 1925 in Thorn- ton, Washington. She graduated from Ewan High School Class of 1944. On Sat- urday, June 15, 1946, by a Justice of the Peace, she married Herbert M (Jack) Lusby Helen Lusby care and comfort you pro- vided mom and her family during her last few weeks. Helen is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother James C Mulrony and wife Bettie; infant brother Ronald Mulrony; Sister Shirley J Olsen and hus- band Wally; and sister-in-law Mar- yann Baney. Helen is sur- vived by her chil- dren: son David Lusby, Bickleton; daughters Marie in Goldendale. October 31, 1957 - 61 years ago Schools at Goldendale, Centerville, Wishram and Lyle Monday were ordered closed for a week by the county health department, as the flu epidemic cut deeply into attendance. About 60per cent of the students were absent at Centerville school Monday, and 45per cent of Goldendale ' s pupils failed to show up. In Lyle and Dallesport. 177 children were absent Monday, most of them victims of the flu. October 16, 1958 - 60 years ago An ultra-modern new service station will be built at the Doyea and Davidson Texaco site. Demolition of the old Texaco building at the comer of Columbus Avenue and Court Street was launched Monday morning. For the the next two weeks, Harry Doyea and Wilbur Davidson will operate at the Nell Robertson's service site across from the Elementary School on East Broadway. The new office building will include a two-bay lube room, and three new pumps are slated for the island. Ociober 23, 1968 - 50 years ago Too many people in our community do not know what the Klickitat County Sheriff's Posse is or what these people do or represent. Our Klickitat County Sheriff's Posse consists of people who willing give their time, money and efforts to help all of us in Klickitat County and our town of Goldendale. To become a member a person must own a horse and have transportation and a willingness to perform in parades and be of service to our community. October 23, 2008 The Bickleton student body, all 102 of them, kindergarten to grade I2, visited Schells Produce Pumpkin Patch in Toppenish last week. The seventh through 12th grade art students won the tickets through a contest. They painted the two winning signs for both of the produce markets in Toppenish and Union Gap.
