George Nethercutt is Working for Us
During his tenure in the Congress of the United States, George Nethercutt
has done an exemplary job representing his Congressional District and the State of
Washington. While his opponent was pre-occupied with raising political kudos and
funds for her party, Congressman Nethercutt was busy authoring a bill that passed the
Congress to allow Washington residents to deduct the amount spent for sales tax from
their federal returns. It is estimated this represents a savings to the Washington
Taxpayer of $519 to $575 on each itemized return filed.
While his opponent was busy extolling the virtues o~ Osama Bin Laden to high
school students in Vancouver, WA, in December 2002, Congressman Nethercutt was
busy introducing legislation which passed the House to approve a new treatment for
juvenile diabetes.
Remember, when you cast your vote, who frittered away taxpayer's time and
money furthering the interests of Osama Bin Laden and those of her party, and who
spent taxpayer's time and money furthering the interests of the people of the Great
State of Washington.

Rob McKenna, Strong, Earnest Leadershipl
I have had the opportunity to meet Rob McKenna on several occassions around
the state and at gatherings here in Klickitat/Skamania Counties. I was impressed with
Rob when he spoke to a group and when we spoke personally. As a Candidate for
State Attorney General, he was very much interested in our concerns regarding the
safety and security of our families here in Klickitat County and plans to allocate more
resources to fight crimes throughout the state like identity theft, fraud, and on-line child
pornography.
As a Council Member, Rob was the prime sponsor of a motion adopted by the
King County Council to recognize the role men must play in ending domestic violence.
In addition, he will insist that strong measures are in place to eliminate multi-million
dollar errors that have plagued the Attorney General's office under Gregoire's watch.
Endorsed by almost every major newspaper and law enforcement agency in the state,
Rob will bring strong, earnest leadership to the Office of the Attorney General. Please
join me in voting for Rob McKenna for Attorney General!

What a Lady Laura Bush!
As First Lady of the United States of America for the past four years, Laura Bush's
conduct merits the utmost respect from all Americans. Her demeanor has been and
continues to be gracious in her support of The President in two very strenuous and bit-
ter campaigns. Let there be no doubt that First Ladies have a critical role to fulfill when
they are among the players on the world stage. As First Lady, she is well versed in
politics, she thinks before she speaks, thus avoiding having to later apologize for hav-
ing "misspoken".
rm not sure how one should define "a real job". Mrs. Bush worked as both teacher
and librarian. As a former teacher, I can testify that students and classrooms are cer-
tainly "real life" and "real jobs". So too are librarians, since they are the ones from
whom we seek "real information". As First Lady, she has continued her efforts in edu-
cation by creating a national initiative, Ready to Read, Ready to Learn, to inform par-
ents and policy makers about early childhood education and the importance of read-
ing aloud to and with children from their earliest days. The family Laura Bush is nur-
turing exemplifies the essence of good in this country. Having both worked and raised
a family, I can also testify that being a domestic engineer is also a "real job" agd
includes staying at home making cookies and lemonade.
Keep it up First Lady Laura, we support you and all that you symbolize.
